Having attended Keele and later Warwick, the difference in infrastructure was shocking. Today, I cannot imagine how the library can cope with 10,600 students. The bottom line is Keele badly needs a new one. Like it's outdated and insufficient student accommodation, the growth in student numbers has not been matched with an increase in the quality in facilities. Irrespective of what the university prospectus say.
Great study space, wide variety of academic books. Easy loaning system for students and plenty of plug sockets and USB ports to charge your devices
IT facilities and group study rooms and even silent study space for students are mostly NOT available during peak term times, like now. It is difficult for 3rd years especially to get help from library for working on their assignments or dissertation in a quiet place. Most of the group rooms are taken by even a single person or groups of people who mostly talk and don't study. Students even take over food consuming spaces due the the lack of facilities. It raises a question that from which point of view Keele University is "No.1 in student satisfaction"?
